Transcomm Mobitex Network Rationalisation Update

 

 

Phase 3 of the Mobitex network decommissioning will commence on the 1st October 2011. The areas affected by this phase are detailed in the tables below.

 

 

Withdrawal Dates

 

To recap, the areas within each decommissioning phase are as follows and vehicle and host radio modems will cease to work from the Phase Commencement dates as detailed below.

 

Phase 2.1:        Completed

Phase 2.2:        Completed

Phase 2.3:        Completed

Phase 2.4:        Completed

Phase 3:           Commences 1st October 2011 – Base stations, primarily in Greater London, the

                        Metropolitan areas of Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

For all customers using IAS or Airpack services, we are pleased to advise a further extension to February 2012 to assist our customers with migrating to alternative solutions.

If you still require your contract to cease with effect from 30 September 2011, please inform the Transcomm Customer Services on the e-mail address below, who will arrange to cease the service and billing.

 

 

Please be assured that BT Transcomm remain committed to maintaining all Base Stations until such time that a Base Station reaches its Phased Withdrawal Date.
